MPPSC Exam Pattern
conducts the examination in three stages.
These three stages are as follows-
The first phase is the preliminary examination, which is based on multiple-choice questions and conducted at the OMR sheet. This exam is only for the qualification and test of the candidates. Only those candidates, who have passed in this examination are allowed to appear in the main examination.
The second phase is of the main examination which is conducted in a descriptive and written form. After passing this exam, the candidate is called for an interview.
The third and final phase is the interview in which the candidates who have passed the main examination are called for an interview. The candidate’s selection is based on the marks obtained in the main examination and interviews.
MPPSC Exam Pattern for Preliminary Examination
1. The preliminary examination is conducted only for the test of the candidates as its numbers are not included in the main examination and interview. Only the candidates who have passed the preliminary examination are allowed to appear in the main examination.
2. Candidates are selected only based on marks obtained in the main examination and interview.
3. The preliminary exam is conducted in 2 parts. 1- First question paper 2- Second question paper.
4. The first question paper is of general study in which a total of 100 questions are asked, each question is of 2 marks and no negative marks are deducted for the wrong answer. The duration of the question paper is 2 hours.
5. The second question paper is of general interest in which even a total of 100 questions are asked, each question is of 2 marks and no negative marks are deducted for the wrong answer. The duration of the question paper is 2 hours.
6. Multiple choice questions are asked in both the preliminary examination papers in which ABCD is given four options and candidates have to choose only one option.
7. All the questions are printed in both Hindi and English languages. Candidate can use the language as per their convenience.
8. After the preliminary examination, the answer keys of the question papers are published on the website of the Commission. Candidates can file their objections within 7 days by paying a fee of Rs 100 per Question and portal fee. No, any objection is considered once the period is over.
